Privacy (Google made me add it)

I run these sourdough courses. You can browse the Overviews and Hall of Fame without an account. To open the lessons, sign in to a student account. Signing in and opening lessons need an internet connection.

I use Clerk to manage your account, verify your email and keep you signed in. Sign-in uses an email code. If Google sign-in is enabled, it shares your basic profile and email address, not your Gmail messages or Google Drive files. Clerk stores your account details and uses the cookies or browser storage needed for sign-in and account security. Clerk's privacy policy is at https://clerk.com/legal/privacy.

I do not link analytics to your student account or sync your lesson progress. The courses may keep your place and downloaded course files on your own device. The website and sign-in providers may process technical information such as your IP address and browser details to deliver and protect their services.

I use Plausible Analytics to understand which pages are visited most. It shows me aggregate statistics, not reports tied to your student account, and does not use analytics cookies or persistent visitor identifiers.

Plausible is privacy-friendly web analytics that doesn't store raw IP addresses or track people across days, sites or devices. No cookies, no persistent identifiers, no cross-site or cross-device tracking. Your site data is not used for any other purposes.

Plausible processes page views, referral sources, browser/device details and approximate location. It uses IP address and browser information to count daily visitors, but does not store raw IP addresses or raw browser identifiers. More: https://plausible.io/data-policy.

If you email me, I receive your email address and whatever you send so I can reply. If you submit a course question or a student photo, I receive what you submit through the linked form. Student photos are reviewed before they appear in the Hall of Fame.

Your sign-in account stays with Clerk until you delete it. You can delete it through Manage account, or email [email protected] for help or to ask me to delete information you have shared with me. Deleting an account does not clear files or saved course data already stored on your device. Service providers may retain security records under their own policies.
